Welcome to my website,
Here you can see my most interesting pieces of silverware and find out a little bit about me. I am currently very excited to be working on my new collection, the idea for which came in 2013 when I created 'Viaduct' - an abstract, yet functional piece of silverware, which is now part of the incredible collection of silverware of The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
‘Viaduct’ is a set of hand forged cutlery, comprising of a sterling silver knife, fork and spoon, placed on a pure iron stand decorated with intricate silver inlay.
This piece is inspired by the testament to human engineering that is the viaduct. The knife, fork and spoon are entirely designed to follow the curve of the base as the viaduct follows the landscape. The inlay on the base mimics the arches of a viaduct as a reflection in water whilst at the same time it reflects back into the soft satin finish of the blade of the knife reaffirming the viaduct image of the piece.
'Viaduct' opened a wealth of inspiration for me, which I hope to convey in my new collection. I have gathered research from around 15 incredible viaducts from all over the UK. I look for the fine balance of function and sculpture in each one of my pieces and I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to push my own boundaries once more.
I hope you enjoy my website and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
